If you’re traveling for Umrah from Karachi, there’s an important step you must not miss at the airport — the Umrah Visa Verification Counter. Without completing this verification, the airline will not allow you to board the plane, regardless of your valid visa or ticket.
Located inside Jinnah International Airport, this counter is specifically set up to verify your Umrah visa before departure. Every passenger traveling for Umrah is required to stop at this counter before checking in with the airline.
Saudi authorities now require airlines to accept passengers only after pre-verification of the Umrah visa. The verification process confirms that your visa is valid and correctly issued. Airlines are instructed to reject any Umrah traveler who skips this step.
Go to the Umrah Visa Verification Counter before heading to the airline check-in.
Present a printed copy of your Umrah visa along with your passport.
The staff will verify the visa against the database.
Once confirmed, they will keep one copy of your visa and hand you another verified visa copy.
This verified copy must then be submitted at your airline’s check-in counter.
The visa verification fee at Karachi airport typically ranges from PKR 400 to PKR 600. It’s advised to keep cash in hand to avoid delays.
Arrive at the airport at least 3 to 4 hours before your flight, especially during peak Umrah seasons, as the verification process can take time depending on the crowd.
