Description
The first revelation of the Holy Quran was revealed in the Cave of Hira, located on Jabal al-Noor (Mountain of Light) in Makkah. It was here that Angel Jibreel (AS) revealed the first verses of Surah Al-Alaq to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Jabal al-Noor remains one of the most spiritually significant historical sites in Islam. Many pilgrims visit this sacred mountain during their Umrah and Hajj journey to reflect on the beginning of divine revelation.
